North Brunswick Township sits in central Middlesex County between New Brunswick and South Brunswick. Route 1 is the township’s dominant commercial corridor, with shopping centers, offices, hotels, restaurants, industrial properties, and redevelopment sites. Route 130 and local county roads provide additional connections, while the Northeast Corridor rail line passes through the community. North Brunswick includes established residential neighborhoods, apartment and townhouse developments, schools, parks, and municipal facilities. Rutgers University and downtown New Brunswick are close to the northern boundary, giving the township strong ties to the region’s educational, medical, and employment centers. The township’s older areas developed near Milltown Road and Georges Road, while later growth spread toward Route 1 and the southern sections. Its location offers direct access to Princeton, New Brunswick, the New Jersey Turnpike, and the broader central New Jersey market.
